I'm thinking of changing my set-up again. At the mo the FBTs are in a large exo-terra bowl, with bogwood in and two live pants. The rest is Eco-earth stuff, artificial plants and a couple of hides. I am having to change the water daily and it must be stressful for the frogs to be moved out of it all the time.
I'm thinking of having smooth gravel banked up as a beach with moss on the top, a filter and 2-4 inch of water with Elodea in it. I will still put hides & plants on the land side but it'll be mostly aquatic. Then I should be able to study the toads more & they will have more room to move about in the water, & hopefully I will only have to change the water every week or so.
Do you think this will be better for them?
