Default Baby Preying Manti Hitchhikers! Need advice

    Hey guys,

There are about a hundred tiny preying Manti climbing around my Leuc tank, very cool to see. They are edible size, but I'm concerned about my Leucs so if anyone has had this issue or can identify the species by these pics I would love some input!

This is a new one on me.

Leave Jeff a visitor message or PM him? He'll know !

Very cool. Did you put anything new into the enclosure recently?
I think our NY prayers are green when they hatch???? Don't know ? Plus those striped leg looks different?
I guess you don't remember seeing a pod. You could have 100s in there from one pod.

They could compete for food. Or worse ???
I would remove them into their own tank. They will likely eat FF or pin heads. !
Maybe someone at Cornell would take them?
I can't wait to hear what Jeff says !

I did, it's a completely new tank setup, about 2 weeks, so all new plants. They're def. not standard green manti, their abdomens curl upwards as well as their striped legs make me pretty sure of that.

They've definitely found the FFs to their liking even though they could only have hatched within the last 48hrs.

Those are just so cute!! I've got several weeks before I'll start seeing them in the yard. Set up a small tank and raise them up until you can release them once you have them identified as being local and not an import. Imports bad, locals good.
