I have 2 White's Tree Frogs in a 20 gallon tank, temp is about 78F and humidity stays between 40% and 60%. They have a UTH and ceramic heat bulb for heat. In the tank, I have a climbing vine, moss up against the glass, repticarpet that's cleaned with hot water 1x a week, 2 little hides (ok, truthfully, they are hides I'd made for my snake, but the hole in the front was too big...), a spider plant (no dirt in it, only moss), a water bowl that's cleaned probably 3x a week, unless it looks gross (and it's refilled with tap water that's been dechlorinated w/ Prime- I use it for my fish).
Anyway, one of the frogs, Echo, one morning decided he was going to sport some neon green spots all over his body... I realized it was probably due to the soil that *had* been in the plant, and after cleaning out the roots insanely well, he's gotten back to his normal color... But I'm still worried.
He doesn't chase after his crickets (which are dusted w/ calcium 2-3x a week, and vitamins 1x) like his tank-mate... and just sits with his eyes closed a lot. He does climb sometimes, and will sleep on the side of the tank, but he's no where near as active as Tadpole is. I don't know he ever has been, but I'm worried about him.
I can't prove he's NOT eating, but he sure doesn't ever seem to chase the crickets.
The picture is from tonight... should I be worried or am I just being overly paranoid? I've been known to spaz out over nothing before
For comparison, this is Tadpole who promptly spazzed when I tried to take his picture... (he's also the younger of the two... he used to be smaller too... not so much anymore, lol)
