These are the best tongs to use when feeding frogs. if you dont already have some i suggest you order some asap. i never have a problem with my frogs hurting them selfs willie useing these tools

The plastic tipped ones are all metal too just with a plastic coated tip . I imagine you could coat these in plastic but with the rounded edges i don't think you need to bother .

Your right there is no need for plastic tips if the tongs are roundid. some times thay hit the tongs but thay relase right away and ive never hurt a frog useing these tongs. you could dip them in a plastic covering, to make them more soft but i dont see a real reason to do this because these work just fine. i hope everyone that tong feeds get them selfs a pair of these.

the problem is actually not sharp ends, but actually metal. I'm using similar but way bigger for my snakes, i like to keep my distance lol, and yes these are the best for F/T prey. for frogs if they bite metal it may damage their "teeth", it might get infected = big problems.

I can definitely see that being able to damage an animal. Its all about what you like to use. Its not whats better or worse they all have pros and cons. So really its a matter of personal preference.
