hello , if anyone can answer my question as im new to this i would be very grateful.
i have a exo terra 45x45x60 with a heatmat that covers just under half of it . i have plent of substrate in the bottom , coconut husk and moss but even tho the humidity is showing 60 on the exo terra hydrometer , the moss is very dry . i want to keep spraying it to make it damp but im worried about over doing the humidity.
anyone help me please ?

first question, is your hygrometer a digital, or analog (dial) style? the analogs are notorious for being inaccurate. second question, did you try covering part of the screen with something like plastic wrap or plexi glass? if it is still the open screen, that is where your humidity is going.

my hydrometer is analog . it shows humidity as being high but the moss is still like dryish . i dont want to mist the moss incase the humidity shoots up. ive just bought a thermostat for the mat so maybe lowering the temperature will help but do i set the probe off the thermometer low down or high up ? also the lid is mesh so i havent put anything on top as its new
