Lack of humidity and dirty water is detrimental to the frog's health for a day and a half.

I wouldn't even think about worrying about my animals unless I'm going to be gone for over a week. All I do is just take out the water bowl (so it doesn't get unsanitary, only for frogs) and make sure the substrate is damp as always. Obviously, this would not be possible for frogs on paper towel substrates.

True, but having someone to check on your animals is best. Even for a day. You never know what can happen when you are away, but I'm overly cautious at times. Sometimes it pays to be overly cautious though.

i would never dream to leave my animals unattended even having everything on controllers. I sure be perfectly fine leaving my snakes for 2-3 weeks if needed I'm ok with frogs not being fed for a week, but for a week unattended - never. water HAVE to be fresh, poop taken out asap. when I leave i like to know that my animals are not suffering and i will not be back and find sick or dead animal just because of improper care. I will never say it is ok to leave your animals unattended and will never be ok with people stating it is ok.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!

Sometimes it pays to be overly cautious, but other times it can drive you insane haha. That's why I really didn't like keeping darts, I couldn't really go away for a weekend without having to have somebody check on them.

You know how it is. When you get frogs you take on a serious responcibility. They are so sensitive and even the slightest change will cause stress. My oldest female will only eat for me. If my wife tries she looks at her like "what do you expect me to do with that!" It's kind of funny, but I'm certain she would not eat for anyone else either. So having someone check on my animals would be all they could and water changes. Feeding woukd be out if the question.
