I've been thinking about offering my fbts reptomin w/ feeding tongs occasionally, just as another food item to vary things up. They currently rotate between crickets, small dubia nymphs, and little chunks of nightcrawlers. Which is more varied than some are offered in captivity but not as much as I would like to offer.

i would be courious to know if they would eat them, since they are not live. you will have to keep us posted. I have tried the bugs in a can (gross) and they would have no part of it.
Mine will attack the tongs with nothing in them so im not to worried about them taking it they will also take crickets that have drowned and I pulled out of the water with the tongs. I'm thinking about trying the sticks next feeding ill let you know how it goes.
If your fbts won't take food from feeding tongs yet get them started by using the tongs to put the crickets into the tank and use them to poke at the crickets to get them to go straight towards your toads. After a couple weeks they should associate the tongs with food and willingly strike at them regardless of what they are holding

Mine have never taken anything that hasnt moved on its own although that isnt to say that they would refuse it. I just never have tried as I believe making all aspects of their life as natural as possible, including their feeding. All the nutrients that they require are found in the healthy crickets / mealworms that I feed them, all the better if I gut load the crickets / mealworms prior. Using a supplement may seem convenient but isn't the natural / proper way to go. Supplements should only be exactly that, supplementing the feeding practice you need to have in place.
Yes while food pellets my not be "natural" neither is living on a diet of just one of 2 types of food, in the wild they are eating probably hundreds of different insects.
I wouldn't use it as a staple by any means, but just something different to vary it up
