Default Favorite frogs, and "wish list" frogs

I'm up, enjoying a late Friday / early morning Saturday without the worry of work until Monday. I know similar threads have come up before, but, from your experience, what are your favorite horned frogs, and what types of frogs are on your wish list?

I've had (and have) ornates, cranwellis, and fantasy frogs. I had 2 Joaz as well. One I rehomed a while back (wish I didn't) and the other one died recently, not sure why, just found him dead. He was only about 2 3/4" long, and a picky eater, but my first definite male and my first calling horned frog. I miss the little guy.

My ornates, as I've stated before, are by far my favorite so far. Second are my fantasy frogs.

As far as other types of horned frogs, I'd probably go for a Pacific Horned Frog (the small horned frogs) for something different. Cornutas have neat coloration, but I have my fantasy frogs which to me, are similar (and part Cornuta) and a lot less expensive. Auritas have a lot of variation, very pretty frogs, get a good size, but are expensive (not to mention hard to find). Although unrelated, also possible, if I can find healthy ones, may be a couple of M. nasuta -- Malaysian (sp) Horned frogs.

I pretty much want a pair of each individual species of Ceratophrys and a couple of the Subceratophrys. Ceratophrys stolzmani(Pacific Horned Frogs) are also hard to find, but appear occationally. I'm sure Mike can find you some since he does know a breeder that has them.

Like I've said many times though, we are biased because we don't really have a favorite. I have four of the 8 species and they are all different in personality and natural behavior. Even their posture and overall appearence is different. I may get some Cornuta later this year and some other colors morph cranwelli from Mike and the Ivorys.

    C. calcarata would be nice, but are supposedly more of a trouble feeder than C. cornuta so that may not be something I'll try for a while. We will see.

YES! they do grow sooo slow in comparison to my high red ornates, the ornates are younger and have already outgrown the caatingas, and eat way more, the caatingas skip meals regularly.
My favorite are my high red ornates they eat so well and grow so fast, I have one though that eats well but isnt growing (possible male??) hes so0 cute!Name: pacmans 2 11 2013 011.jpg

Megophrys nasuta is not a phat frog. It is terrestrial, but doesn't coinside with phat frogs. They are not part of the genus Ceratophrys and are not related closely. They are really cool though.

lol i better not to start thinking about my wish list
so far it goes like that:
    - green cornuta
    - samurai blue
both ( from Mike) going home with me in 7 weeks yeah!!!!!!!
    - i better not to think about what else i want lol but caatingas are definitely on my later list.

Bill - nasutas may be not phat frogs but they are for sure fat frogs lol
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
