Well Sheldon Has been doing good. But a few days ago I bought him some Large crickets. Well I ripped the back legs off of them like I was told to by Grif. (Omg. I hate crickets just because of their faces.. I was fine with the little ones because you can't see them that good.. but the big ones took some getting used to!) And I put it down in his tank because he doesn't really like the tongs. He will eat from them if hes really hungry.. But he Likes "hunting" them. Aka I sit there with the tongs directing the cricket to his waiting death. ANYWHO i digress. So I put the large cricket in there (using the half the body length rule for feeding) and he didn't touch it. I tried EVERY day for the last few days and I figured he was just not hungry. Well today I found a small cricket that some how had lived threw the large cricket invasion, and I put it in there and he ate it immeadetly. Do they really get that picky about size or is mine just a preppy finicky froggie?
They can be very picky, maybe slowly work him up to larger crickets?

I guess Im still learning with a little one, My First pac man frog, "lucas" was 2" Long and 2" wide and ate ANYTHING in his path! He was a beast! So with a little guy it's still a fairly new process.
Large crickets are too big and the frog not eating them is it's way of telling you they're too big. Use small crickets to just under medium. These will be half an inch to 3/4" long.
Well thats kinda neat lol.. I went by the feed them only half their body length but I guess he just doesn't want to eat all that! so today I'm going out to get 2 dozen crickets. he usually eats 5-7 at a time every other day.
I had this thought that If he was eating 5-7 every other night that If i gave him one big one it would satisfy his hunger quicker and I wouldnt have to chase these little teeny weeny crickets around my kritter keeper lol!
