I talked with my vet friend today and it turns out that he worked with another vet in town who has experience with reptiles and amphibians. I will give her a call tomorrow.
The frog hasn't moved much since last night. He has not eaten or been in the water dish for several days now. We'll see what happens tonight.

UPDATE: Well, Thomas (our remaining RETF) was active for several hours last night. He ate, pooped, peed, and soaked in his water dish. That's the good news. The "I'm not sure" news is that he has started "stretching" his hind legs the same way our other frog did a few days before he died. I am attaching a video of this behavior. Is this normal RETF behavior?

No news on the vet yet. I will call her tomorrow and get some advice. In the mean time, I'm happy that Thomas seems to be acting normally.

Wife just reported in... frog #2 is dead. After having the similar hind leg behavior exhibited by the first frog (see previous post), frog #2 died sometime this morning. Like the first one, there was blood on the glass. I'll investigate more when I get home from work.
It's pretty sad in our house today. But thanks for all of your help. When we regroup, I'd love to have some of you guide us through the procedure of how to do this right from the start. Obviously, there were things that we did wrong even though we tried to research extensively before we purchased these little guys and tried to make good decisions along the way.

    I'm so sorry

Don't beat yourself up too much, it's very possible the frogs were sick before they were in your home....
Sadly, many of the best in the hobby have learned from mistakes, so do try again! They are wonderful little creatures.
I hope your kids are gonna be okay.
