Hi, I allways loved the idea of having a water feature with fish in my White's tank, but I was under the impression that they are terrible swimmers and any water that is deeper than the frogs head would drown them. I was just reading about 'The ultimate Terrarium' on another site where they say -
'Tree frogs have natural buoyancy, and therefore have little difficulty in navigating the 5-6 inches of water I maintain in the tank.'
She has both WTF and fish in her 'Ultimate Terrarium'.
Is this OK? Do they just drown, or can they be kept in a tank with 5-6 inches of water?
Has anyone here got water and fish with their WTF?
Do the frogs eat the fish?
Has anyone had any bad experiences or good ones when trying to do this?
It was allways my intention to have fish aswell, so if it IS possible then please let me know.
Thnx

My White's have been living in my fish tank for four years now. No problem. I have witnesses my red-eyes under water in the rain chamber's reservoir. I have chased gray treefrog in my yard, who jumped into the pool and swam to the bottom. So treefrogs and water are a good mix, as long as they have places to rest on. If you don't quite believe it check out "Frog and Toads Your Happy Healthy Pet" 2nd edition, page 44. There is a picture of MY frog and set up on that page, so you can see exactly what my set up looks like.
My frogs have yet to eat any of their tank-mates.
ya i don't think they will drown but you must have a good size plays for the to eat in less you frogs will hand feed or eat out side of there home one of mine wont and you will need it so they have a plays to keep worm at night for the heat pad
Cool, I can't wait to sort it out![]()
