Here he is, his name is Bender, I believe he's Bombina Bombina not Orientalis d/t his brown almost grayish coloring. Hes deff a male he was amplexing and calling my female within 15 mins of meeting her =p I love the sound of his call =) He's also an eating machine it took the female several days to settle down and start eating when I first got her and he downed 5 small crickets after being in his new home for about an hour lol.

I know I should have qt'd the new one but the reason that I had gotten him was the other seemed lonely spending all or her time hiding in her cave not leaving except to eat then promptly going back into hiding. Also after I changed her set up from mostly aquatic to mostly land with a large water dish her colors just went as bright as they were before evn after she settled in for a few days. But in the few hours her new friend has been in the tank she has brightened up to normal and is back to the activity level of when she had her mostly aquatic set up. Any future additions will be qt'd though

I just snagged a 20 long the other day at the Petco sale and am starting to gather supplies to make them a really nice viv with a large water area, water fall, maybe a drip wall or stream and live plants on land and in the water. I wanted my female to adjust to a tank mate while I'm in the planning/construction phase. Then once finished I plan on allowing them 2 adjust into their new huge home while I qt another pair.

It was love at first sight lol, he follows her around the tank always try to share a hide with her, she enjoys it some times and other times she hops away from him and hides in the small cave so there isn't room for him.

As far as I can see, he's Bombina orientalis, the brown form. I have two of them together with the "normal" green ones, they are definitely the same species. You can find many discussions in the internet about this color variant. The true B. bombina is somewhat rounder and less contrasted in in color, with a different pattern on the belly.
Anyway, really cute, and very nice enclosure!

I was doing some looking around and he matches a lot of the pictures of B. Bombina in color, he is not quite as round as some like you mentioned, he also has the white spots I've seen listed as a trait of B.Bombina. Maybe next time I can get some better pics of him it will help
