Anyone on here have any experience with them? I'm probably going to get one at an upcoming expo and have a few questions.

Ive never kept one for a length of time but i have worked with a few. What would you like to know?
My main questions right now are...
What type of bulb should i use for added day heat? What ever bulb I use I plan on using it with a flukers clamp with dimmer built in so output can easily be adjusted. I'm going to also use a bottom mounted uth regulated with a thermostat.
For substrate I'm thinking maybe a mix of sand and coco fiber, im theorizing that it will form better burrows than sand on its own. I am not going to be feeding in the enclosure so im not worried about substrate ingestion.
Is a 12x12x12 zoomed naturalistic terrarium big enough for a baby? I have one that is empty and would like to use that untill my 10 gal opens back up, my fbts are housed in it currently untill I finish their 20L.
Do they need a big enough water dish to soak in or just a small one to drink from occasionally?
And lastly what humidity level should i maintain when it is not in shed?

I would prefer a heat pad for sand boas they really don't bask.
And yes sand/soil will work great and hold burrows great http://i1261.photobucket.com/albums/...ps9cac11c0.jpg. Theres no need to feed outside of its enclosure if substrate is ingested it wont cause any harm.
Yes that size enclosure is fine for a baby.
I offer all my snakes big enough water bowls to soak in just to give them the option.
Humidity should always be the same weather its in shed or not imo. 50% is average.
Thank you

Should I put the probe for the thermostat resting directly on the glass where the uth is or the substrate surface?

The probes are horrible at measuring basking spots there made to measure ambient temps. Get a infrared temp gun i use this one Amazon.com: Etekcity Temperature Gun Non-Contact Infrared Thermometer w/ Laser Sight: Kitchen & Dining
I do plan on getting a temp gun to check my temps with but I mean the probe for the thermostat that will be regulating the uth
