Finished my babies tank (for three pyxies) with water feature but now I need to know what to add to aid them in getting out of the water as they wont stop getting in it since they still have nubby hands

Had to put them back in their old tank until I can find a solution to insure they can get out easily.

I thought maybe layer larger rocks up to the edge might suffice but what do you all think?

This is a 29 gallon tall. The water area is 6" high. The substrate is about 5" and the false bottom is 1"
I know, too deep of water hence why I want to add a incline for their safety as well as for looks.
