Is it a problem if the temps stay around 75 during the day and 70 at night ? I have had pacmen before but not in a plastic tank. It is a 5 gal for now with Eco earth water that is easily accessible by him. It's a albino pacman witch i belive is a cornuta correct me if I'm wrong. It's still a small guy about the size of a half dollar. Is there anything that I new to get that I didn't say already? And for a ornate what should I do differently compared to a normal pacman
yes it is a problem if your temps are so low, 75 is the lowest you should go at night, but you want to stay at 76-78 at night and day 80-82. I highly doubt you have albino cornuta, I've never heard if those exists. Probably you have C. Cranwelli, pic would be helpful. please answer questions in http://www.frogforum.net/pacman-frog...enclosure.html and repost those here so we can check it and advise if necessary to change anything.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
Welcome to the forum.
To start with, we need more information. Please answer the questions from the Trouble in the Enclosure thread http:/www.frogforum.net/pacman-frogs/14721-trouble-enclosure.html and post the answers on this thread. Do you have any aort of heat pad or light?
Your temps are definitely too low. They should be 76-79 at night and 80-82 during he day for babies. They need heat to help metabolize their food. This is particularly important when they are young as that is their major growth period.
You mentioned three different species. Cranwelli, Cornuta, and Ornate. If you have an Albino then it is a Cranwelli. Please post pictures of the frog and the enclosure as soon as possible.
Edit: Lija beat me to it.![]()
It's only going to be for a bout a week I just have to get a lamp. Yes I ment to say cranwalli.

Yes I have a light and I did a temp gun check and it's close to 80 now
that's better. you have absolutely adorable baby Cranwelli.
i suggest you get rid of moss in the enclosure, it posses a very high impaction risk if ingested. for plastic keeper you can get small UTH ( like for hermit crabs) and attach it to the side. what kind of lamp do you have? Note you can't use UVB for albino.
hey Grif, at least once i managed to beat you![]()

I took the moss out today. He is eating dubia roaches and crickets. I'm useimg a normal t5 light right now but will be getting a standard light soon.
Really? Would tinted incandescent bulbs work ?
You mean like a regular red glass bulb instead of infrared? Infrared produced both good light output and good heat which is what they're designed for whereas a regular bulb with colored glass will mostly give off light and very little heat. As long as it is getting the climate up to where it needs to be then everything should be fine.
Nice looking frog! I have no additional info to provide, it's all been said.![]()
Ok I have a infared 50 watt bulb now and the temp at the floor of the tank is 80.5 and a hot spot around 84-85. Is a diet of dubia roaches and crickets good for it ? How long does it take for a frog to be good with tong feeding ? Thanks I'm hopeing it will be a female and turn into a bruiser. My next frogs definitely going to be a ornate or Surinam
The amount of time it takes for a frog to become tong trained depends on the individual frog. Some take to it immediately, some take a little time, and others will never take from tongs.
Dubias and crickets are fine. Add some Night Crawler chunks and you've got a great diet for the frog.
Be sure to provide some cover from the light so the frog doesn't just sit beneath it unshaded.
This is his set up he has since dug under the leaves and hides there.
I also believe that is is a lime albino you can't see from the pics but it has a lot of green shade to him like a tint to him that makes him look great
Also do you think that 40$ was fair for him ?
Ok. Will they have the same froth potintial as a normal? The ornate at the store I was thinking about getting has a light brown fluid in his eye what could that be ?
