so the plant vendor at my work asked me if i wanted to save all the anoles we get in the plants when they are shipped.... im thinking about it... just get a cage with a simple set up and when we find them i can take them home its too cold almost year round here for them.... my nana comes up here at the end of the summer every year and I can send them back to Florda with her to release outside lol....
it was funny, she says she finds them all the time hiding in the plants and she tries to cetch them and puts them in her lunch box and tries to find homes for them sence its to cold most of the time in NH. i think its a cool idea. what do you guys think? i already help run an animal rescue, maybe onc we get our place set up we could try and adopt them out lol.
Hi there
Thats great you are trying to find good homes for your anolesSo far your tank for anoles is good, you just need a Uv lamp and a heat lamp so they can get energy and for healthy bone growth if you are keeping them for a while. The net cage gives them more climbing area, but if you are housing many anoles, you may need a large cage, i would say 10 gallons per anole should be fine and live plants are excellent. you may want to put some vines of some sort in their cage and mist it down for the anoles to drink from. if you are releasing the anoles into the wild, make sure they are native to the area and make sure they can survive
good luck with your anoles
yeah im looking for a cheep tankmine is happy with my frogs but they are evicting her and her hyperness. and the place my work gets their plants from isnt to far from my nana so this works well if i get a bunch and need to ship them out lol
