color change in Pacman frog?

I purchased a "fantasy" colored frog a few months ago and it was a beautiful bright green. Now after having it a few months it is plain brown. I do keep it on eco-earth, could the substrate have stained or did it change colors?

This is normal. They change color as they grow and mature. They will also change color to match their surroundings so it will darken to match the substrate.

Occationally unless he is an actual Brown Fantasy. See many froglets start out green and then turn to their final color change when older. If you catch him shedding you may see his original colors reappear.
