hey you guys, not fair lol
my kids are sick, both of themand there is zero internet at hospitals....
anyhow, Grif I'm positive you NEED to get a better camera. where is red color exactly?what better reason for getting a new camera can be then to take pics of aurita? but how s/he grew, crazy, or just looks this way in the pic?
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
Sorry Lija its just a cell phone pic and the room was dark. The red doesn't show on the pic. It is there though. I should have used my wife's camera, but I was in a hurry and didn't want to cause too much stress while s/he is still getting used to us.
EDIT; and yes s/he has grown.
yeah right, excuses, excuses lol you have to have your camera ready at all the times by your frogs enclosures, I do
how she is adjusting, eating? anything different that you'd notice in comparison to your other frogs?

Seems to be adjusting well. Didn't scream at me this time when I dug him/her up for a soak!! Was eating from tongs, but has decided that it likes me to leave a worm chunk infront of it so it can eat privately now Lol! Likes chunks of Night Crawler and usually eats 2 to 3 one inch pieces per night. It actually hopped around its keeper for a couple minutes last night for the first time. Even eats after being handled so that's a good sign of adjusting.
The aurita does behave differently than the other species in terms of how it burrows. It creates a trail like a trench to it's burrow and sits in with it's hands infront of its face like gaurding the entrance. Hunkers down really low in defence with arms outstretched kind of like an Ornata which they are very closely related to. How the aurita sits in its burrow is the main behavior difference I've noticed. I'm surr I'll see some more differences as it adjusts further and matures![]()
