Mosquito larvae

Hello, Would my two brown tree frogs eat Mosquito larvae out of their water if i put some in their water, if not would the frogs eat the Mosquito when they hatch?

Hi there,
Generally frogs will probably eat anything that they can fit in their mouth.it is most likely that your frogs would eat mosquitos but you would need thousands to last him a day because mosquitos are very tiny (where i come from) and they do not suffice for very much nutrience. you can feed them to your frogs but i would preferr crickets. (What type of frogs are they?)

yes the mosquito are small here, we just have HEAPS! in many places so i presume they would be alright then as part of their diet,

I have brown tree frogs also known as Litoria ewingii.

Im kinda thinking about raising my own crikets to feed them, but dont have a clue how
