I have been kept awake by my red-eyes for the past few months. About two or three nights ago I put them in a rain chamber I built, the singing got worse and more constant. They started up earlier this evening than had previous nights.
So, tonight I would like to report that they are in amplexus! Hoping by morning there will be eggs.
Congrats!
Thats great news
woo hoo!
Thanks.
The corn snake I have that was given a death sentence by the vet about six months ago, just shed, which is awesome news. I will explain. When he had first seen it, he thought the snake had an infected eye and that the infection had spread throughout the body. About a month or so later, upon reexamination he said the infection was just contained to the brill and it should be OK once it shed. Well, tonight it shed and looks like a brand new snake. And the eye looks awesome!
good that is great
As of this morning, I have eggs!!!
that's great
Yeah! And I found a second mass of eggs a few minutes ago.
Kurt, I was wondering if you could make a thread of your red eye setup(s) and your rain chamber. I am thinking of getting a pair. Thanks for all your help kurt !!!!!!!!!
Thanks
ya the best of luck
Actually I was thinking of writing a care sheet. Most likely after the tadpoles successfully go through metamorphosis.
Awesome news Kurt, well done and congratulations. If you're making a list of potential homes/buyers, let me know - I'm tempted!
me to and i live closer
ok man
Tadpole out already?
Any picture of egg to show ?
A few tadpoles have dropped into the water. The lion's share is still in the egg masses. They are so incredibly tiny!
Sorry, no pics. I tried taking a few with my cell phone, but they weren't that great.
It ok... anyway my tadpole picture is also blur ..haha... using handphone to take picture doh.
