For anyone looking to sex their Pacman this is an image of a Nuptial pad on my male Samurai Blue Nephilim. The long dark patch on his thumb is the pad. You can clearly see it.

That's a great idea! The question comes up very often. Pictures are definitely easier than just words. I have a picture of Bruiser with his pads visible too if you need it, though it looks pretty much the same .

He has very large Nuptials. They do vary in size depending on species and individuals among species.

It varies, but most of the time the pads will appear when the frog reaches 2.5" SVL. Age sometimes is a factor, but most of the time the size of the frog is the determining factor.

so more than likely at 3 inchs i would be able to tell if its male or female then, i guess it will be a waiting game hoping for a female! but male would be cool too

Both genders have pleasing traits. I don't have a preference.

Exactly! They will differ in size and coloration by species and each individual frog.

That's where I was getting confused. I thought it was on the inside of the "thumb". Now when I get back home I can tell my son if he has a male or female. Woohoo!!!

I'll do that. I'll post pics as well. He/she is about three inches so I'm hoping I will.be able to tell now that I know what to look for. Do males or females grow larger?
