What works better for "painting" the foam backgroud?

Titebond III is much nicer to work with. It's not as smelly. If you notice you've a bald spot after its cured, you can add more with ease (silicone doesn't stick well to already cured silicone). It's rock solid when it cures. It is more expensive though, but if you can find the big 1 gallon jugs it's not so bad. It also takes longer than silicone to cure, about 1 week vs a couple of days (depends on ventilation, temperature, and how thick you've laid it on).

I prefer titebond. Easier to work with, and it doesn't burn my lungs. You can get a gallon jug at lowe's for less than $30. That's enough to do like 6 10 gallon enclosures. It's also great for sealing water features, if you can work with it drying yellow.

Titebond...silicone is horrible smelling and a terrible mess.

I know we all pretty much jumped all over titebond, but i have to admit, silicone does have it's place. I have seen tanks that could not have been built using titebond.

I think for now I'll go for the titebond. Maybe if there are gaps I need to fill, that's where the silicone will come in handy. Thanks for your input everyone. I really love being a part of this forum! Everyone is so helpful and I really appreciate it
