You could just give them a shallow water dish rather than a pond area.
I usually put a water dish, the pond in summer only
Also be careful of moss. If they accidentally ingest some while trying to catch their food it can cause an impaction(intestinal blockage) which can lead to a prolapse and death.
I feed the frogs out on a large plate
