Well as they mature they become more developed. They have what is referred to as an armored skull. This large skull not only allows them to eat large prey, but serves as a sort of shield. This helps protect them from attackers and keeps them from being harmed while taking on large prey. Their skin is also a lot tougher than it appears. Yes it is sensitive, but if you ever have to give a Pacman an injection you will find out just how tough it is. The difference betwee. Babies, Juvies, and Adults are the same as when say an infant is maturing. They go through several changes as the develope.

I believe you feel they look weird because the Juvinile is a combination of beginning to look like an adult so its inbetween baby and adult. The half way point so they have both baby and adult features. It is actually very interesting to watch them as they grow and develope some changes can be quite drastic.

haha thank you now i can show mom! i was just talking to mom about how there are some that have the cutest faces. grifs new one with the scoliosis.....sorry i forgot her name... and there was some others i thought personally had the cutest faces ever for a pacman. yours was one of them! She is a happy frog. Watching her eat is really cute. She takes dainty bites.

and there are the handsome pacs and bullfrogs.
then ones with awesome color and or designs.
each are different with their own cuteness/coolness about them
they'll grow on ya.

I just laughed and told her not to worry, because Buddha is coming with me when I move out next year. Pacs are very cool frogs, even if they aren't "cute" as adults.
