The is my son's Pac Man Frog, aptly named "PacMan". She's approximately a year and a bit old. She eats vitamin dusted crickets, and is a real hoot at parties. Actually, she keeps to herself, and is smart enough to not sleep and sit where she poops and pees, and is very clean. She eats her old skin instead of leaving it hanging around.
thats a huge tank bro spruce it up a little and give him some cover just incase he wants to get away from the light just a few suggestions take it or leave it =) cute frog btw
Thanks, I like to keep it bare bones so that its easy to keep clean, but she's moved to the side with the rock when she wants to get away from the light. I always move the light so that its not directly over her.
Get the UVB out and change to infrared. UVB will cause the Albino to go blind. They are Hypersensetive to bright lights and UVB radiation.
Your gauges are in a bad position to get a good reading. They should be in the center of the back wall 1" to 1.5" above the substrate. You want your readings to be from where the frog lives which is at ground level. You may also need to cover the screen top with plexiglass or plastic wrap to help hold heat and humidity in the enclosure.
Cover 3 sides with some sort of natural background to help the frog feel more secure. I would give it a fake plant just in the center of the enclosure. Wide open spaces tend to stress these frogs out so making a enclosure that is too large appear smaller will go a long way.
If you make these changes you may see a little more activity and appetite from your frog. The UVB needs to be changed ASAP.
Skippy, Grif gave you an excellent advice that I hope you'll follow, I just add, I would also offer a variety of foods, keeping as a staple nightcrawlers and roaches.
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
Thanks for the advice guys. To be honest, he won't eat anything but crickets. They are gut loaded well and multi-vitamin dusted. As far as the light goes, I never keep it directly above him, hence the larger tank.
We'll see how it goes.
yeah, it is good, see UVB for albino is especially harmful, they have very sensitive skin and will go blind if UVB is present for prolonged time periods. in general since they don't have pigment in their skin they are sensitive for a bringt light in general, pretty much as you imagine if you have very pale skin and go out in bright light without sunscreen.

see usually UVA bulbs have some UVB as well, it is definitely not as bad as plain UVB but still may have some impact, you made a good choice by changing it.
