remeber how frogs drink they dont drink like repitles or us. they dont drink through there months they drink through there skin. so when you hold your frog for a long periods of time the salt in your skin well go through the frogs skin and it could kill or even get the frog sick so if i were you i wouldnt hold the frog no more then couple minutes. if it well be a long periods of time put the frog in another tank.

Tiffandi09 if you get post this it what i would do. are the eyes close if there open I think thee mite me some skin left over from when they shed. they shed there skin durning the breeding season. so maybe there some left over on the eyes. if thats not it. then i would take it to a vet. but try to hand feed your white. I hand feed my whites when there on the skinny side.

Sometimes I take Bluebell for a brief outing in the yard on a nice day, and I carry a water mister bottle so that way his skin stays moist and that also makes a barrier of water so hopefully my skin oils don't get on him (I also wash and rinse my hands well before and after). He seems to enjoy climbing on my arm or jumping around, like onto the tree or grass, and I don't put any chemicals on my yard or trees. I watch the temperature and don't have him out too long.

Can anyone help me. I got a couple of Tree Frogs a few weeks ago and at first both were doing well, then one took a nose dive. It doesn't eat, it just stays in a corner of the tank, I spray with water and a vitamin spray to keep it going, but he won't eat. I have seperated him out in another tank and he still has not gone cricket hunting, I have force fed him some wax worms and crickets a few times. Actually, a couple days after a force feeding I placed him in a seperate tank and he ate a few crickets, when I tried it again he refused to eat. I have noticed spots on his skin are turning a little purple, just on the front of his head, it doesn't seem to have any texture to it, just looks like the skin is discoloring, could this be the cause of him not wanting to eat, I just worry I do not want to keep force feeding him and stress out any further.

lol you remind me me of when we used to drive down the street spotting bad grammar on every sign and poster, true though

My brother has got some Whites' tree frogs, and one of them got really unwell from swallowing some of the sphagnum moss, the poor little fellow was actually trying to poop it out. Has anyone else had this or is it just a freak accident or a really stupid frog? The frog did get better eventually, but we just don't want it to happen again.
