So in the little over 2 weeks I've had my newly adopted ACF (I have no idea how old she is, the person I got her from estimated around 10 years) she has laid 3 huge clutches of eggs.
My question is what could have caused her to start producing egss all of a sudden?
They said that she had never done this before to the previous caretakers knowelege. She was thin and sickly looking when I got her(there are pics of the day I got her in a different post) but she is putting on weight and starting to look much healthier.
Is it just the improved conditions and diet stimulating her to lay? She is alone so they are unfertilized. She just eats most of them and I scoop the rest out.
I'm not really concerned about anything just curious.

It sounds like you conditioned here very well. In here mind it is perhaps the "wet" season. It is not uncommon for any egg laying animal to lay eggs with out a male present.
