Default red eyed tree frog vivarium ideas?

    Hi everyone,
I just purchased (another) 18x18x24 exo-terra that I would love to make into a retf home....
I have 2 enclosures this size currently, one for my solo white's and one for my solo red eye. Neither set-up is what I would call beautiful, but very functional. I have hydro-balls on bottom layer, screen mesh, and 2" of coco fiber. Both have potted pothos and snake plants, and both have climbing vines.
I'm looking to build something really stunning, but don't know where to start?
My plan is to get more frogs , would three red-eyes be happy in a 18x18x24? And I was planning on getting another white's to join my current one.
I would use the extra 18x18x24 and my empty 12x12x18 for quarantine tanks.

If anyone has build logs and/or photos of their red-eye and white's set ups, I would be so thankful for the inspiration !

    ever think of a waterfall? ive always liked having a waterfall in my setups. and they help with the humidity {just by keeping water in the tank}

    Hi Bolisnide,
I would love to chime in on construction as I keep 2 Agalychnis enclosures.
However mine are, by choice, very bare-bones.
Both species------very simple ( soil free ) substrate, lots of suspended plants, and I feed in bowls.

I have thought of a waterfall, and would love to do something like that, but they break down often?
I do think something like a waterfall would be beautiful, but don't know if I have the where with all to do something like that, and then maintain it?
Lynn~I love your 'bare bones' vivs, but I'm thinking of going in another direction - more rustic ?
Bill~I would love to check out your white's enclosures... I'll take a look at your pics.

I've actually spent some time (too much time) online today, gathering inspiration via google.... so I think I'm gonna sit down and brainstorm with ideas I liked.

Hopefully I'll have a vivarium build log coming soon

    Thank you everyone!

A good thing to do is get 'a vision' of what you'd like. Type in rainforest photos in google and start scrolling . Type in vivariums and waterfalls too. It's get some ideas flowing .

The whole key to a water feature is leaving yourself access to the pump in case the pump fails or gets clogged. Advanced plannjng helps with that.

    Here's my former white's enclosure:

And here's my madagascar tank. Not a red eye tank, but the construction principles are the same

    Hope they help

Wow, Bill! This is very helpful! And very impressive! This is what I had in mind for sure....
I'm designing on paper, And maybe I'll run my ideas past you when I have a solid vision? I certainly don't want problems down the road, and I'm hoping for a 'self contained' eco-system if possible?
    Many thanks
