It works fine but I'd like a better one maybe submerged its really not powerful enough to handle a pixie so I wanna upgrade

Sweet frog man! Like the setup too.
+1 on the upgrade. I went through three smaller filters before I got sick of changing it every three days. Just go with a bigger cannister. I run a Hydor Premier 20 and its perfect. (Less than 100 bucks).
