Hey,
I have a question... I bought some green firebelly toads. Now they turned a bit olivegreen. I would like to know witch conditions turn the toads into green. Conditions like moister, lighting and temperature?
maybe we can discuss the best conditions?
I had a little scare when i got my first two bombinas and they turned this color. Usually its either that they are aclimating to their new environment (your terrarium) and are probably a little stressed, This shouldnt be a problem at all, if you want them to be brighter in color, i would use a UV light.
mine seem to change colors when the water starts getting primed and quickly change back in cleaner water. so it could be a ph balance thing in your water idk just a guess
Mine maintain their green color and I have not noticed any changing colors. Their skin surface/texture is slightly different: the bumpy parts are either black or brownish, no olive green though, its a vivid crayon shade of green. All I can think of with yours at the moment is temperature.
