    Hi there and welcome!

Always nice to see another swede on the forum!
Your bullfrog is very cute. I've got a dwarf female myself and see's a blast to keep. I hope you're gonna enjoy yours just as much.

Pretty unique name you gave your frog, sounds like something out of a fantasy novel?

Anyway, hope you enjoy your stay here and I'll see you around the forum!

Welcome to the forum! I'm fairly new myself. If I could give you one bit of advice, it's "read". You are going to find a wealth of information in these forums. I spend hours cruising links on topics (when you search a topic and read a thread, at the bottom if other threads are tagged similarly they are listed. You can investigate topics for hours here... literally). I feel way better prepared for frog husbandry because of the amount of reading I did.

Thank you all so much for welcoming me! I've now changed the substrate for Karybdis. Feels much better! Found a pet shop with only herptiles and fish and the guy there had worked at Skansen (a big zoo and museum in Stockholm) for many years taking care of the herptiles there. He seemed very experienced and answered all my questions. Will return!

Lija: Thanks for the tip about the care sheet. I've read it many times, it's great! That's actually how I found this forum, by googling "african bullfrog care sheet".

Raya: Tjenare! Nice to find another Swede here. Charybdis was a sea monster in the Greek mythology. She was once a beautiful daughter of Poseidon and Gaia but Zeus turned her into a monster and she dwelled on one side of a narrow strait. On the other side was another monster, Scylla, a moving cliff. Few ships managed to get through the strait. When Charybdis opened her mouth a big whirlpool occurred and she swallowed any ship that came too close. I thought it was a good name for a frog sitting mostly at one spot engorging everything that passes by.

Dee: This forum sure is full of information and knowledge! I will do plenty of reading!

Here's another picture of Karybdis. I took it when s/he was sitting in a smaller box while I was changing the substrate.
