Katydid runaway!!! HELPPP!!!!!!!

I save one of those green katydid and it was loosing 3limbs(I didnt cut it this time)and decided to take care of him and while bringing him a female one , and I left his lid open with a small hole and after cleaning up my mealworm from ants I saw that he's gone!! only the female was left!!! is it possible to find it again or should I just go catch a new one?

To be honest I think you should stop trying to breed insects in makeshift containers outside. I assume you are removing legs so that it will not escape? This sounds like cruel torture to me. Please do. I know they are just bugs but anything you capture and keep in a container is your responsibility. By removing their legs you are taking away their ability to rejoin the wild once they (inevitably) escape.
