So Mercy lately I've been noticing has been getting quite chunky. this started happening just this morning. I fed them last night so there is the possibility that she just over-ate but with everything I've been reading about bloating I don't want to assume one thing and it be another..The only thing different last night from any other feeding was this was the first time their crickets have been dusted with calcium..She's still very active and bouncing around..
please tell me she just over-ate
Her sides feel squishy but her belly is kind of firm...
It's part of the issue with my frog, Gnag. Recently, she's been looking a bit large. Please, if you read this, respond to this thread and then go onto mine: http://www.frogforum.net/vivarium-te...ease-help.html
I need help as soon as possible! I've spent over 500$ on these hoppers, and I don't want one of them to die now!
She does look a little bit big. I wish I could help.
Is pregnancy a possibility?
Is she hopping around fine? A bloated frog would have trouble hopping around i would think. But i dont have much experience with bloated frogs or toads
I think she looks healthy. Mine are chubby, but they both are active. They are about 4 years old now. Here is a picture of their setup and my toads..

I think she looks fine. It may very well be that she is gravid or just stuffed herself. Keep an eye on her. It is a little suspicious that it happened right after you fed dusted food for the first time, but that may just be coincidence. She doesn't look too bloaty, although that may change. The best thing to do is just keep an eye out for any changes.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I think she may be ok and will keep you updated. It just startled me to see her grow fat so quickly.
