    Default Batting, is it safe???

I was at the local animal expo and ran into a guy using Batting for his pacmans he said to get it at local michaels or craft store
    this is what i found
    Heavy Duty Foam Slab - 2'' X 24'' X 90'' : batting : fabric : Shop | Joann.com
^ This one looks just like what he had not sure if its non toxic though, it is up to cali fire code 117 and i read that companies use toxic chemicals to be approved for this code

I also found this type at both joann and michaels even though its white it is also up to the 117 code
    15X17X1In-Nufoam : batting : fabric : Shop | Joann.com

Does anyone use stuff like this?? Maybe you have experience with these products, or you know where I can get something similar thats non toxic.

    Thank You!

Forgot to mention I got some of the green stuff and chopped it into pieces to fit my containers but before using i put in my washing machine for a quick rinse to make sure its clean, my entire laundry room smelled awefull when it was done with the spin cycle. This scared me and I have not put the pacmans on it, I'm not taking any risks with my bebes.

This stuff doesn't sound safe. I wouldn't use it at all. Good you found out before trying it.

No take it back out. It has fire retardant in it and will eventually hurt the frogs. Only use fish tank safe foam.

This is the best type of foam to use. It will last 20 years and is very soft.
