    what kind of a insect is this??(the one sitting on a leaf like a stick) is it a rare bug or is it some kinda of grasshopper or stick insect? what insect is that??

    it is a little tough to tell because it is an aerial shot and not a side shot. It looks like a locust

    Very interesting antennae... I'm confident its some kind of orthoptera (grasshopper) and due to the underdeveloped wing stubs its almost certainly a nymph unless the adults lack complete wings.

    It will be impossible to tell the exact species due to the lack of visible characters in the photograph and the fact that this is a species form the Philippines.

    Kind of reminds me of a Eumastacid or Proscopiid species. The prior are referred to as "matchstick" grasshoppers and lack developed wings while maintaining an elongate shape like the one you've posted.

    Yeah - I'm going to go ahead and say look more into the Eumastacidae family for your area. Subfamily Morabinae.

    looks kind of like kadydid to me - grasshopper type.. but leaf shaped body. bright green.. we used to catch them as kids.

    google it, see if it looks close.

    thanks its hard to find to those takes me 30mins for 1 I only keep 2 as pets! and they are still little nymphs less than an inch and also i cut off its leg so that it wont run away and so that i can handle them and not give me trouble while cleaning their cage if i did not cut it then it will jump away whenever I clean its container.

    No what I mean really is im keep on catching grasshopper and cut of its jumping legs so that my toad can eat it faster, and the two of those I didnt know it was different and when I place the hopper in a cage I saw those 2 and got curious of them and regretting to cut of its legs and it regrowed.... so stop scaring me off....
