    Default The Serpentarium

    Hello,
I was sold a male C. ornata for $80 and it turns out that I now have a C. cranwelli, and so far a lot of people are saying it is female.

I also bought two panther chameleons that both died within a week because they were sold too young and the breeder was terrible.

i got a flapneck chameleon from them that turned out to die shortly after. When I told them about the quick death they admitted they knew something was different about the chameleon that they couldnt expalin (parasites). The professional and honest thing to do is disclose that information before you buy, not after it's dead.

All in all, this place is not fantastic. I have talked to a few local herpers and they agree this place will do you wrong.
Unfortunately, I was a beginner in the herp world when this happened and didnt know what to look for so I foolishly sank all my money into dead and sick animals.
I have learned my lesson and I have recently taken a back seat to herpes because of how much money was wasted. I will get back into it when I have more knowledge and money

I wont get my money back, but at least I can share my experience.
this is a local sacramento business.

I'm sorry to hear this happend to you. Although I have not been to their store in Elk Grove, I have been to the store in Lodi. I know they are a business and are there to make money, but I thought it was ridiculous that they charge ADMISSION. I only needed 20 crickets and because my wife daughter and I entered the store it cost me about $11 for 20 crickets. I'd rather buy from a chain store at those prices...

I assume you live in the lodi area, but if you ever need crickets there are other pet stores in the elk grove area. I also know of another place that sells dubias now. Send me a PM if you want to know the store name.
