In the new ABF ebook by Phillipe de Vosjoli, there are quite a few pictures of P. edulis. This specimen is pretty squarely in the color range.
Unfortunately we will probably never know the locale this frog came from, and nobody really knows enough about these frogs to be able to tell if it's just a locale difference or subspecies.
I'm going to Africa! I'll get to the bottom of it.....now where did I put my bo staff?
