Wash with bleach if you like. As stated just rinse well with declorinated water. Another option I use is a vinegar water solution. I also got a pet cleaner that works well. It says you can use it even when your pet isin the cage (I still remove them), and is all natural cleaner.

I was a little bored. It didn't even fit in the 10g. So maybe ill use it when I get a bigger aquarium.
