    It is very possible

Plastic container, plain / loose dampened soil , food ( try green or yellow zucchini ...lay thin slices on the top of the soil), keep them covered ( one or 2 little air holes), and bugs ! It may take a while for things to get going. Pass or fail ? Well, if they reproduce in the container , I would have to say. You have succeeded!
Do you have a photo of the 'pillbug" you are truing to culture.
