So I have a white lipped tree frog (winston) in a 10g cage. And I have developed this weird frog obsession in the past few weeks so I got another frog, (eep) which is a pacman frog. I was setting up winstons cage and he saw eep and Immediately started to hide. Winston sits in one spot, all the time, and he moved behind it so he could just see what I was doing. So once I saw this and my Pacman frog was all settled in, they were staring at eachother. So What I did was I cut up a green shirt and put it on 3 sides of the pacman frog's cage. Its a large cricket carrier type cage. So Winston is in the 10g tank on my night stand and Eep is in the little cubby under the night stand so they can not see eachother. Did I handle this right?
You did the right thing. If you think your frog is stressed, you need do always do whatever possible to relieve it.
You took a common sense approach to what you observed, and that made you uncomfortable. Good for you!
Sadly, Winston and Eep will NEVER 'get along'.
