Hi everyone!
I've had my whites tree frog since August. I currently have him in a 12x12x18 terrarium. I'm finally upgrading to a 24x18x24 and would like to get the Zoo Med slider hood. I know that it takes different bulbs, however, I would like to know which bulb to use in the fluorescent socket to provide enough UVB lighting to him at that distance!
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
Hi Amy, white's don't really need uvb light, but you can put in a uvb bulb if it makes you feel comfortable. my white's were under t5ho lighting (no uvb) and now under t8 lighting (again, no uvb) and they are happier than the proverbial pigs in.....

Thanks Bill, I appreciate the advice.
I use the UVB for terrarium plants and I usually buy the reptiglo 5.0 since it is for tropical species. I dont think UVB would hurt your frog. So far I havent heard of a 5.0 ever harming one.
