Can anyone advise me on heat lamps for my White Bellied Tree Frog, there seems to be lots of conflicting opinions. Should I use it or not? I have a heat mat. My frog Kermit has gone really brown over the past few days. He's eating.Im not sure if this is normal.![]()
No problem offering heat. you can just use a 60 watt house bulb. My whites do bask for a short period of time. They usually bask at temps no higher then 86-90
don't worry about Kermit going brown. White's do that. they shift from green to brown constantly. it depends on where mine are hanging out. if near something brown, they will be brown, otherwise, they are normally green.![]()

Whew! My new whites (Bubba) is very brown and I was worried that it was stress.
but he likes to hide on top of the water fall and under a halfround tree trunk hide.
So everything there is very brown.
He east well and will croak when I make a croaking sound. I love it.
Thanks, Bill it's great to know there are people around to help with any worries I have. The Internet give lots of conflicting advice!
Thanks, Poison. I've been using a 60 watt bulb but the conflicting views online had me confused! It's good to know I can get advice here.
