Hello everyone,
I'm new to the forum, although not new to herps. Had 'em since I was a kid.
Currently I don't have too many frogs/toads. I have more geckos at the moment (crested, chahoua, leachie) I just have an old Cuban tree frog and a few Sonoran Desert Toads that I hope to breed sometime in the future. I'm trying to do research on hibernating and breeding them, but most google searches just bring up drug use.

Welcome to the forum. Breeding the Sonoran Desert Toad involves putting it through a winter period of a couple of months - temperatures in the late 40s F to early 50s F, no food and appropriate photoperiod (easiest to do this by synchronizing with your own winter). Then in the spring, warm them up and keep them normally. In mid summer (July), put a male in a rain chamber, add a female a few hours later and in the next 12-24 hours you should have eggs.

Winter is coming to an end here (finally) So, it may be too late for this year.
When you hibernate, do you keep them at the same humidity levels as normal? Currently, I keep them on moist (not wet) coco-fiber with a large water dish they can sit in. The top is completely screen, so the air humidity is quite low (my house in WI, USA is pretty dry during the winter).
I also feed them primarily roaches (gut loaded with dog food) and the occasional mouse. they seem to be thriving without any need for vitamins.

I would keep the humidity pretty low, just enough that they don't start to dessicate.
