Hey so the past 2 days my frog has been acting weird. He is up in the corner of his cage sitting there. I know that they are pouncing animals but crickets were laying right in front of him and he just let them go. He is pretty skinny and hasnt moved what so ever any suggestions? And as for bedding I have that eco earth coco husk stuff.
What kind of frog?
white lipped tree frog. did it go into hibernation or something?
what are your temps/humidity? how he was acting before? would you pls answer to trouble in the enclosure questions here
Save one animal and it doesn't change the world, but it surely changes the world for that one animal!
temp is 83 humidity is 79. I just threw some crickets in then he livened up then i put a meal worm in front of him and it craclwed to him and he backed up
First off the frog isn't stupid because it isn't eating for you. Most likely your presence is stressing the frog which in turn will cause them to not eat.
You said you threw some crickets in there and he livened up but did you give him the chance to catch them on his own before placing your hand or tongs(whatever you're offering food with) in front of his face?
Get a small glass bowl and place the crickets in it. They cannot grip the glass so they cannot escape the frog making them easy pickings. Count how many you place in the bowl and then leave him be. Count to see how many he has eaten the next morning. I believe these are nocturnal frogs so food should be offered at night.

how big should the bowl be?
a large shot glass be fine?
Do you have a cereal bowl?
yes but it is rather large length wise, or a very deep one.
A cereal bowl is fine. A shot glass will be too small.
Try turning your temp down to 78-79 degrees. Humidity is good (should be 70 to 80%).
Has he eaten before now? Have you found any poop? And how long have you had him?
If he is new, he might just be adjusting. We can be scary to them. Once they learn they are safe, they will usually start eating.
Any pictures?
Try not to stress. We will help to figure this out if we can .
