40 liter Terrarium?

Hello, I am considering buying a forty liter terrarium for my three western toads from a friend. Is this large enough?

As I am looking more into how to build a terrarium/vivarium, I am beginning to notice that my previous one was a very poor setup. It is now clear to me that I don't know the purpose of many things you experienced people do in yours, such as a false bottom. Please explain this to me. I am hoping to get the glass terrarium on Tuesday, so I would appreciate any help, so hopefully I can move the western toads in on Thursday or Friday. Is this realistic? Once again, thanks for all your help!
