Ficus pumila var. quercifolia - Oak Leaf Creeping Fig, and a few ferns this past sat at city planter
Nice choice in Drosera! I have D. capensis and it's....not doing so well. I bought it half dead at a nursery that is going out of business and I am using my necromance skills to slowly bring it back to life.

thanks ariel. i had planned on doing the 125 as an Australian biotope, but i'm going a different route. the spatulata is a native Australian species and supposedly does well in humidity, so i went with it anyway, even though i'm going with another madagascar tank. close enough though. i wanted a carnivore to help control gnats and such. i'm also trying to decide on a bladderwort as well as a butterwort for the tank.

The bladderworts wouldnt catch the gnats though. It catches insects and eggs under the water, right?
I would invest in a butterwort. that will definitely help your gnat problem.

There are both terrestrial and submersed bladderworts. One of the submersible ones being utricularia gramminifolia (i probably really butchered that...lol) we call it ug in the planted tank world. In fact, probably about 85% of the people who have it, don't know it can be grown emersed as well as submerged.

I was reading that these can be terrestials but wouldn't it have to be extremely humid? almost aquatic conditions?

for some, yes. but a dart tank is close enough. for others, 70+% RH will work. they grow in bogs, so they make nice, pretty marginals.
