Dicalcium phosphate in multivitamin?

I was out tonight looking for some new multivitamin. Happened to go through the ingredients list and realized that all of them had dicalcium phosphate (may have been dicalcium phosphorous or something similar..). I never even noticed this being on there before, but I know phosphorous is bad. On some of them it was near the end of the ingredient list.
To my knowledge I haven't been using anything with phosphorous (pretty sure I'm good on that, since Trevor's okay after almost 2 years of it).
There was nothing there that specifically said 'phosphorous free' other than the Calcium+D3 that I get. Are those multivitamins okay? If not, what is a good brand that is?

You've used it this long and Trevor does have some issues. Whether it's from the multivitamin or her neglect while you were in school I'm unsure. Possibly both contributed.Phosphorous prevents the absorbsion of calcium into bone and can make them brittle, but as the calcium to phosphorous ratio is good then there may be no problem with the supplement. Idealy you want a source of calcium that is phosphorous free so that you don't run the risk of any bone diseases or at least lower the risk.

It may be a good idea to switch to a phosphorous free supplement in any case.

What brand do you use? I went to my local petsmart, petco, and a reptile/fish specialty shop and couldn't find one without dicalcium phosphate in it. I check for phosphorous, but I guess dicalcium phosphate being near the bottom of the list just got past me.

She doesn't seem to have any bow-leggedness or weakness, and she's pretty large... Am I wrong, or wouldn't her neurological problems fit better with toxing out from the severe impaction and trying to aestivate with food in her system?
I also just realized; she may not have been getting the multivitamin much if at all while she wasn't in my care... My guess is that she was not.

**Random New Years update; her neurological condition seems to be slowly getting better. It's probably been over a month since she had one of her little 'absence seizure' episodes. The gastrointestinal part hasn't improved much, but it's still manageable. She may never be 100% normal, but she's close. I'm proud of how far she's come considering the condition she was in six months ago.

I'll check back next week (though idk why there would be a holiday rush on reptile multivitamin...). I remember being surprised at how limited the selection was. Hopefully I don't have to order it. The chain petstores near where I live are pretty big; I'm always surprised at the things I can't find there. I've actually had to order several pretty basic aquarium products the last month or so.

I have been using that exact brand of Calcium + D3 her whole life mostly because it says phosphorous free I was thinking that worked as both calcium and multivitamin, but then I was talking with someone who was telling me it wasn't. That's what made me think I needed to go get a separate multivitamin.
UGH. I think they were just confused (and then got me confused...). That past couple of weeks have been, well 'insane' would be a polite word; I guess I was feeling particularly gullible that day.

Lol! Ok then you calcium supplement is fine, but you had best get a multivitamin. Somethings change when added to other elements and ingredients. Dicalcium Phosphate is used a source of both calcium and phosphorous, but 23% of this solution is actual calcium.
