Default Hi everyone! Interested in becoming a red eye tree frog owner!:)

    Welcome to the forum .

Red eyed tree frogs are beautiful!

Lynn's got things started for you. She is very knowledgeable and a great resource.

Great way to start...research and set-up before the frog(s) . This will allow you to get your tank/home started for them and gives you time to tweak things to get them just right without stressing or allowing them to get sick with any fluctuations in temp or humidity.

Quarantining is a great time for monitoring them and their health, along with feeding and pooping. Getting to know them, shall we say.

Read, Read and Read Some More! I have literally spent four days reading this site and have found an amazing amount of great information. Stuff I didn't even know I needed to ask a question about.

Alright so we have a down payment on them. There are two and they are both about 1.5-2 inches long- we decided to name them Yoda and Qui-Gon Jinn! They both look to be healthy, and we are purchasing their enclosure with them- its a nice little exo-terra tall 12x12x18. I know it will do for now, but I definitely plan on moving up to a completely natural and bigger vivarium. But right now i figure with a basic setup we'll be purchasing a few live plants, and the necessary substrates (hydroballs (?), barrier, coco fiber, and sphagnum/other moss yes?) as well as a cork flat and water dish. also want to know how you all suggest keeping the temperature up, as it gets a tad chilly in this house. Until we get a reptifogger/water feature I'll be using the mister bottle we use for our amazon tree boas. If theres anything Im missing or notes/tips you have please feel free to load me up with info! Thank you all sososo much and I am sososo incredibly excited!

Oh! and how do I quarantine them, and which vitamins are the best for dusting their food?
