LOL I'm going insane. One of my tree frogs started calling tonight and can't tell which one is calling. Frog calls I sneak to the tank and It stops calling With out fail. Sneaky son of a gun. I love the sound but want to find out WHO is calling. LOL

What kind of frogs? You can sometimes tell if a frog has recently been calling by the vocal sac, it may be partially inflated or it may be completely deflated but much wrinklier than usual.

I love hearing HIM, just like I love hearing crickets. He's not calling long. I have Pacific tree frogs and 1 Fire belly. In a 55 gl (see photos in album ) Yes, I know NOW that the fire belly should be separated but they have been together for months before I learned. I will move him/her soon as I find some tanks. I really would love to have a Red eye. Just waiting for tanks and supplys.

My male has been doing the same however i can never catch him calling he always goes quite when i am near, and then starts up again when i move away.

Binoculars might help. That way you dont have to get so close as to spook him.

Lol!!!! That's funny . It's so relaxing to me. I can't even imagine a silent room anymore. Sounds so peaceful, like the great outdoors. Well, all except for when my bullfrog sings, lol! He's like an early, loud alarm clock, ha ha!
