It looks like ground coconut coir or ground peat moss I have seen around here. I use coconut coir for my worms and frogs but not the ground stuff. It is about 4x as costly as coir bricks.

I use worms compost for my frog tank but I have a planted tank with Peperomia, I know it is safe because I know what I put in it.
